Maryland basketball made four-star Bishop O’Connell center Nate Watson’s top seven Tuesday, along with Kansas and North Carolina.
Watson is the No. 4 player in Maryland and the No. 11 center in the country, per the 247Sports Composite. He comes from the same high school and town (Upper Marlboro, Md.), as Melo Trimble.
The Terps do not yet have anyone signed in the class of 2017, which is fine, but Watson seems like he would make a fine addition to the program. With Damonte Dodd graduating after this season the team needs to restock its frontcourt, and Watson would help out in doing just that.
