In his rookie season with the Minnesota Vikings, former Maryland wide receiver Stefon Diggs made defenders look silly on multiple occasions. Now he’s trying to outperform players in another sport.
He challenged members of Chelsea FC to a friendly competition, seeing if they could make one-handed catches. Diggs showed off his abilities, hauling in balls one-handed with ease.
It’s time for a #FootballvsFootball skills challenge. @chelseaFC can you make one-handed catches like @stefon_diggs? pic.twitter.com/pX4gJH8An9

Chelsea responded and had goalkeeper Thibault Courtois try to make haul in some one-handed catches. He wasn’t bad.
.@Vikings - challenge accepted by @cesc4official, @thibautcourtois and @asmir1! #FootballvsFootballhttps://t.co/LxK3GBCpCk

Chelsea players accepted his challenge, and sent back a dare of their own. Luckily, the Vikings subbed in kicker Blair Walsh to deal with the kicking-related portion.

This friendly Twitter exchange comes ahead of Chelsea’s August 3 matchup against AC Milan at the Vikings’ home, U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
Diggs is quite familiar with making one-handed snags, as you may recall:
If we’re being honest, Diggs probably could have ratcheted up the intensity of this challenge. We all know what he’s capable of.
.@stefon_diggs turns "overthrown pass" into "Catch of the Year Contender". So so so soooooo sick. #MINvsDET https://t.co/7L9TZ9SpHR

Diggs made 53 catches for 720 yards as a rookie, opening some eyes after he fell to the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
