What to Watch
Friday
Baseball vs. Michigan State at Big Ten Tournament (10:00 a.m.)
The Terps will have to capture the Big Ten Tournament title in order to make the NCAA Tournament. After Maryland beat Indiana thanks to a dominant, record-breaking performance by Mike Shawaryn, the Terrapins will battle the Michigan State Spartans. You can watch this game on the Big Ten Network or listen to it on the Maryland Baseball Network.
No. 1 Women's lacrosse vs. Syracuse at Final Four (7:30 p.m.)
The top-seeded and undefeated Terps will take on Syracuse in the national semifinals. Taylor Cummings and Alice Mercer have never lost to the Orange during their four years at Maryland. They are 8-0 and the Terps are 19-1 all-time against Syracuse. Cathy Reese and company will need to execute well and play a full 60 minutes of solid lacrosse to advance. This game will be played at Talen Energy Stadium, and you can stream this game on ESPN3.
Saturday
No. 1 Men's lacrosse vs. Brown at Final Four (2:30 p.m.)
The top-seeded Terps will take on the most unique team in the tournament in the Brown Bears. Brown lacrosse gives new meaning to the phrase "fast and loose". Brown head coach Lars Tiffany described the team and its top-scoring offense as fast-paced, organized chaos. The faceoff battle will be huge in this game. Maryland will try to combat Brown's pace with its depth and balance on offense and defense. Like the women, the men's team will need to be focused, execute its game plan and play fundamentally sound lacrosse for a full 60 minutes. This game will be played at Lincoln Financial Field and will be televised on ESPN2.
Sunday
TBD (No. 1 Women's lacrosse vs. UNC/Penn State at National Championship game) (Noon)
If Maryland beats Syracuse in the semifinal, the Terps will advance to face either UNC or Penn State. Maryland beat both teams on the road in the regular season by one goal. If the Terrapins face UNC, it will be the third time in the last four seasons that the two have met in the national championship game. UNC won in triple overtime in 2012, but the Terps came from behind to win last year's national championship. This game will be played at Talen Energy Stadium, and you can watch it on ESPNU.
