(Update, Friday morning: See a quarterfinal bracket and TV schedule here.)
The second round of the Big Ten Tournament is set, with Illinois and Nebraska advancing with opening-round wins on Wednesday. The Fighting Illini beat Minnesota, and the Huskers beat Rutgers. The league's two most dreadful and embarrassing teams are mercifully done for the season while the its 12 other members play on.
Below, find a detailed schedule of the conference's second-round games, set for Thursday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.(The Michigan-Northwestern and Ohio State-Penn State matchups were already set entering the tournament.)
Michigan (8) vs. Northwestern (9), Noon ET, BTN
Iowa (5) vs. Illinois (12), 2:30 p.m. ET (estimated), BTN
Ohio State (7) vs. Penn State (10) , 6:30 p.m. ET, ESPN2
Wisconsin (6) vs. Nebraska (11), 9 p.m. ET (estimated), ESPN2
The most pertinent game for Maryland, of course, is Wisconsin against Nebraska. The Terps will quietly root hard for a Huskers upset, but the likeliest outcome by far is a Badgers victory, setting up a Wisconsin-Maryland rubber match on Friday night.
Here is the complete, updated tournament bracket heading into Thursday:
