NCAA Tournament Elite Eight game times, TV channels for Saturday

Not Maryland faces Not Maryland in one game, and Not Maryland faces Not Maryland in another.

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

The Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament starts on Saturday, and it's not nearly as big a deal around these parts as Maryland fans hoped it would be. The Terps are out of the tournament, but the event is still a lot of fun and rolling on.

There are some legitimately great games happening on Saturday, anyway. Maryland conquerer Kansas plays Villanova in what ought to be one of the highest-level games of the season in college basketball, between two teams without any apparent weakness at all. Elsewhere, Oklahoma and all-everything star Buddy Hield face Oregon, probably the tournament's disrespected No. 1 seed in years, with everything at stake.

The winners go to the Final Four. After a lot of late games, these start at a comparatively reasonable time, so you can watch them and then go out on the town or go to bed. That's the way it should be.
