Editor's note, from Alex Kirshner:
That sure was fun, wasn't it? The Maryland men's basketball team rebounded from a weekend loss to score one of the best wins any team in the country has earned all season: 74-68 against Iowa, in front of passionate, sometimes debaucherous home crowd at Xfinity Center.
The Terps welcomed Big Ten leading scorer Jarrod Uthoff by harassing him all night and slapping him with his worst game of the season: 9 points on 2-of-13 shooting. Uthoff hadn't been worried about his Maryland visit, and why should he have been? He's a National Player of the Year candidate. Anyway, when we asked him for his thoughts on the game environment after the game, Uthoff simply said: "Good atmosphere."
He probably wants another crack at Maryland. If the Terps and Hawkeyes keep on winning, there's a pretty good chance he'll get one – in the latter rounds of the Big Ten Tournament in March, or even later than that.
