After a dominant win against Ohio State on Saturday, Maryland will take on Northwestern at Xfinity Center on Tuesday night. The Terps (16-2, 5-1 Big Ten) will look to extend their 23-game home winning streak, as well as sweep the season series against the Wildcats (15-4, 3-3 Big Ten),
Northwestern lost to Penn State 71-62 on Saturday. They shot only 38.8 percent from the field and struggled mightily on three pointers and free throws, shooting just 11.5 percent and 46.7 percent respectively. Northwestern enters the game No. 71 in Kenpom, who predicts that Maryland will win 74-62.The Terps are looking to sweep the season series after defeating Northwestern 72-59 in Evanston on Jan. 2.
Tuesday begins a challenging four-game stretch against four KenPom top-25 teams for the Wildcats. After traveling to College Park, Northwestern will go to Indiana on Saturday,then host Michigan State on Jan. 28, and will end the stretch at Iowa on Jan. 31. They have gone 4-0 in road games so far, but none of those wins came against a team ranked higher than 89th.
