The following is a press release from the University of Maryland Athletic Department:

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Due to impending inclement weather from Hurricane Joaquin, BTN has postponed the planned broadcast of its football studio shows surrounding Saturday's University of Maryland football game against No. 22 Michigan. Safety concerns for the fans and the production crew and uncertainty surrounding the storm's path led to the network's decision.

Big Ten Network will look to stage a broadcast in College Park at a future Maryland Athletics event.

The Terrapins open Big Ten Conference play against the Wolverines at 8 pm at Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium in College Park, Md.

We will have more later today on the potential impacts that Hurricane Joaquin could have on Saturday night's game against the Wolverines. But even though there is still a lot of uncertainty in the storm's track, this seems like a smart decision, ensuring the safety of the BTN crew and fans who were planning on attending.
