Vote on the Testudo Times Terp of the Week

Who had the best week in Maryland athletics? You decide!

James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

We had a couple of firsts in our last Terp of the Week poll. Cody Niedermeier of Men's Soccer was both our first male winner and the first athlete outside of volleyball to be named Terp of the Week. Niedermeier edged out football's Caleb Rowe to get the win.

This week's competition will feature Field Hockey's Welma Luus, Volleyball's Adreene` Elliott, Men's Soccer's Sebastian Elney, Men's Golf's Tom Harris, and Football's Brandon Ross.

Tom Harris, Men's Golf -

Harris won the Big Ten Men's Golfer of the Week award for his play at the VCU Shootout. He shot a 10-under par 206 over three days and won his first collegiate title.

Sebastian Elney, Men's Soccer -

Elney scored three goals over the course of two games last week. He scored the lone Maryland goal in the 2-1 loss to Georgetown and scored two goals in the 4-1 dismantling of Wisconsin in Madison over the weekend.

Welma Luus, Field Hockey -

Luus also scored three goals over the course of two games last week but she scored both goals in Maryland's 2-1 conference win at home against ranked Michigan. She added a goal against Michigan State two days later to help Maryland blast the Spartans 5-1.

Adreene` Elliott, Volleyball -

While the volleyball team did not do well over the weekend, Elliott led the Terps in kills in both matches and tied for a match-high 12 kills in their final match against Northwestern.

Brandon Ross, Football -

Football also didn't have a good week and Ross was perhaps the only bright spot in what was otherwise a miserable performance in a 45-6 loss to West Virginia. Ross carried the ball 15 times for 130 yards, averaging almost nine yards per carry.
