When the Michigan Wolverines come to College Park on Oct. 3 to play Maryland in each team's Big Ten opener, Jim Harbaugh and company will not be the only visitors on campus.
The Big Ten Network announced that it will conduct its morning and evening Pregame Football show from outside of Byrd Stadium, the network announced Tuesday. Dave Revsine will be the host, alongside analysts Gerry DiNardo and Howard Griffith. Maryland football coach Randy Edsall and men's basketball coach Mark Turgeon will join the set. So will former Maryland and NFL Shawne Merriman, and former Michigan and NFL defensive back Marcus Ray.
Students and fans are encouraged to attend the live broadcast of the show, which comes with complimentary food, shirts, foam fingers, rally towels and poster materials. There will also be a deejay and projection TVs.
The morning show runs from 10:30 a.m. to noon on set outside the stadium, and BTN advises interested fans to show up no later than 10. For the evening pregame, BTN wants you there by 6:15, ahead of an 8 p.m. kickoff.
This isn't quite "College Gameday," but it could be a fun atmosphere ahead of an equally fun night game.
