Randy Edsall confirms Perry Hills leading Maryland's QB race
"Right now, Perry is our number one, with Daxx [Garman] being a very close second. And then Caleb [Rowe] would be third right now," Edsall said.
The team went 4-3 in Hills's seven starts as a true freshman in 2012, following a preseason injury to C.J. Brown. Injuries to Hills, Caleb Rowe and Devin Burns followed, leaving scout team linebacker Shawn Petty to play quarterback for the remainder of the year.
For more on the quarterback race, we broke down the three candidates earlier in the offseason.
