How'd He Get to College Park?

Savage was the Terps' only defensive back commit in the class of 2015. Maryland offered him in June 2013. As a junior, Savage suffered a season-ending injury in his second game of the season, but Randy Edsall gave him a call after the injury to let him know he still had a spot on the Terps, and Savage committed in June 2014.

Career Highlight:

Winning the Delaware State Championship in 2013.

Dream Season:

Savage makes a real impression in the preseason and manages to play as a true freshman. He contributes solidly and puts himself in position to grab a starting spot in 2016.

2015 Prospectus:

Savage is buried deep on the depth chart this season, but there are opportunities for a young defensive back on Maryland's current depth chart. There's no clear answer yet for what happens after the four current upperclassmen starters graduate, but the play of the reserve defensive backfield players this season could help dictate that.
