How'd He Get to College Park?

Grommer was a three-year starter at Spartanburg High School,earning all-state honors as a senior and playing in the 2010 North Carolina-South Carolina Shrine Bowl. He committed to the Terps after watching them dominate Morgan State by a score of 62-3(!) in 2010.

Grommer hasn't seen much playing time as a Terp, making his debut against James Madison last year after redshirting his freshman year and not getting on the field as a sophomore.

Dream Season:

Grommer is able to work his way into significant time as a part of the interior guard rotation, making an impact during his senior season.

2015 Prospectus:

Grommer is the backup at right guard to Andrew Zeller, who is likely one of the more secure starters on the entire offense. He seems to be in good position to get playing time as a senior, as he's potentially one injury away from a starting job, and he has the experience necessary to cover the center position if needed.
