Maryland football recruiting roundup: New offer, Robbie Robinson commits to Arizona State

Maryland loses out on the newest DeMatha Stag, as Robbie Robinson verbally commits to Arizona State.

Former Phoebus High School (VA) standout Robbie Robinson didn't waste any time in announcing his college decision shortly after announcing his intentions of transferring to Dematha Catholic (MD) for his senior season. Robinson, a three-star athlete according to the 247Sports composite, verbally pledged to Arizona State just five days after declaring his intentions to transfer on his twitter page. The 5'8, 160-pound athlete is a standout two-way player, but appears to be headed towards a defensive back position.

  • 2017 Towson, MD (Calvert Hall College) Outside Linebacker Tyshon Fogg. At 6'2, 216 pounds, Fogg is labeled as the 10th-ranked outside linebacker in the class of 2017 and the fourth-ranked player in the state of Maryland. The four-star prospect holds offers from Clemson, Michigan State, Rutgers and Stanford, among others

  • Dematha Catholic (MD) offensive guard Terrance Davis announced on his Twitter page two official visits have been planned. He will visit Alabama January 8-10 and Georgia December 11-13. Davis, the No. 2 offensive guard in the country, visited Athens July 18th Alabama on July 17th.

  • 2017 Brooklyn, NY (Poly Prep) offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson announced a list of his top-10 schools. He stated on his Twitter account this list is not final, but the schools that made the cut are: Auburn, Alabama, Ohio State, South Carolina, Michigan, Nebraska, Maryland, Florida State, Miami (FL) and Rutgers. The five-star prospect measures in at 6'7, 322 pounds and is the fifth-ranked offensive tackle in the class of 2017.

  • Ridgeway, VA (Magna Vista) athlete, safety Traveon Redd visited Vanderbilt this past Friday. The 5'11, 180-pound athlete received an offer from Maryland in June. Redd also received an offer from North Carolina State, and will announce his college decision on July 31st, per Adam Friedman of Rivals.

  • 2017 outside linebacker Dylan Rivers visited Virginia Tech on Friday, and will be visiting Maryland on Monday. The four-star prospect is the 16th-ranked outside linebacker in the junior class, per 247Sports.

  • St. John's (D.C) outside linebacker Aaron Hansford received an offer from Arizona State. Ohio State holds the lead on his 247 Crystal ball predictions, but Penn State has been picking up steam since early July.

  • Clairton, PA (Clairton) 2017 defensive back, running back Lamont Wade visited Columbus, Ohio for Ohio State's Friday Night Lights event and visited West Virginia on Saturday.

  • 2018 Matawan, NJ (Old Bridge) quarterback Artur Sitkowski participated at South Carolina's camp this past Saturday.
