After suffering their first loss of the tournament Thursday night against Brazil, Melo Trimble and Team USA move on to face Canada in the semifinals.
Canada finished first in group B, while the U.S. finished second in group A. The games' hosts feature the greatest number of familiar faces in the tournament. Team Canada has a couple of NBA players in Minnesota's Anthony Bennett and Orlando's Andrew Nicholson, as well as three college players: Kentucky's Jamal Murray, Gonzaga's Kyle Wiltjer and Oregon's Dillon Brooks. Their roster also features former Sacremento King Sim Bhullar (the sixth-tallest player in NBA history) and former Baylor sharpshooter Brady Heslip, who last played for the Timberwolves' summer league team.
After scoring five points in each of the first two games while looking uncomfortable on the court, Trimble took a step back Thursday, scoring one point and grabbing one rebound in eight minutes. Those numbers were all tournament lows for him.

Rankings and records: Team USA holds the No. 1 spot in the world FIBA rankings, while Canada is ranked No. 25 in the world and No. 7 in the Americas. In the 2011 Pam American Games, Canada went 1-2 in the preliminary round and lost to Brazil in the fifth-place game.
