The Big Ten made some history this year and Maryland was a big part of it. In other news, point guard Lexie Brown, who helped lead Maryland's women's basketball team to back-to-back Final Fours, is headed to Durham. She will sit out next season before suiting up for the Blue Devils.

In all, Big Ten teams won 10 national titles, besting the conference's previous single-season record of nine in 1999-2000. Maryland women's lacrosse gave the Big Ten their record-tying ninth national title by winning their second straight national championship. The Ohio State women's rowing team delivered the record-breaking title a week later.
