The following is a press release from the Maryland athletic department.
COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The first three home games of the 2015 Maryland football season will kick off at Noon at Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium as announced today by the Big Ten Conference.
The Terps open the season on Sept. 5 against Richmond on ESPNU, before hosting Bowling Green Sept. 12 on Big Ten Network and South Florida Sept. 19 on ESPNews.
A variety of season ticket options are available for Maryland fans and prices start as low as $175. Season ticket packages include the Penn State game at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. Flexible payment plans are available by contacting the ticket at 800-462-TERP or click here for more information.
The Terrapins will begin their second season in the Big Ten Conference this fall, after defeating perennial powers Penn State, Michigan and Iowa en route to an appearance in the Foster Farms Bowl against Stanford in 2014.
Maryland and Richmond are meeting for the 19th time overall, but just the first time since 1977. The Terps hold a 12-5-1 advantage in the series dating back to 1907.
The Terps will meet Bowling Green for the first time in history, while playing South Florida for the second consecutive year. Last year Maryland defeated the Bulls, 24-17, in Tampa, Fla.
