Four-star local quarterback and potential program saver Dwayne Haskins is scheduled to make his commitment announcement at 3 p.m. ET Friday. He's narrowed his list down to seven finalists: Maryland, Notre Dame, Rutgers, Penn State, Florida, Virginia Tech and Alabama.
Haskins is rated a high four-star by the 247Sports Composite, ranking as the No. 5 pro-style quarterback in the country and the No. 2 player in the state of Maryland. If Haskins commits to the Terrapins, it would make it the fourth time in the last five years Maryland has landed one of the top two prospects in the state, and many other star local recruits are rumored to follow wherever he goes.
Where will that be? The neat 247Sports Crystal Ball tool can give us some insight, based on 50 expert predictions from around the country.
At least three of those teams appear out of the picture. Ohio State and LSU did not make the cut as finalists, while Penn State already has a high-profile QB commit in Jake Zembiec.
FYI to PSU fans. Haskins isnt going to PSU. Dont even bother getting excited.

Rutgers has gained some steam in the past few weeks after scoring consecutive visits from the prospect, but the majority of experts are still liking Maryland. Two recent updates from national analysts:
Made @247CrystalBall forecast for big-time QB Dwayne Haskins to #Maryland back in Dec. & still like the #Terps today: http://t.co/Zt6Y392TA7
