Turner really sticks out amongst that group -- he's the only non-blue chipper of the bunch. Turner and Jones are both committed to Maryland, while the Terps are pushing hard for Haskins, Diggs and Davis. Taylor is committed to Florida State while Yulee has offers from Alabama, Michigan and Notre Dame, among others.

The Opening is a big showcase run by Nike and Student Sports every year, taking the best prospects from a variety of camps across the country. Turner's selection is a very good sign for his future with the squad (as is Jones's, but that was to be expected). Last year, Adam McLean was the only eventual Maryland commitment picked for The Opening, but he was committed to Penn State at the time (and injured, so he could not participate).
