As the offseason kicks into another gear, Testudo Times readers will be voting on the All-Randy Edsall team. All players who started multiple games under Randy Edsall (2011-14) at Maryland are eligible for consideration.
There's been significant turnover at just about every position for Maryland under Edsall, but center has stayed steady. Through four seasons, just two different players have claimed the starting spot for the Terrapins, and both performed very well in their time in College Park.
Feel free to vote using whichever criteria you please. After we finish with each position, we'll post the results of the full team.
Sal Conaboy
After redshirting in 2010, Conaboy played five games at center in 2011, with two starts. He won the starting job before the 2012 season and held it for the next three seasons, anchoring what was a troubled Maryland offensive line. He was named to the Rimington Trophy Watch List before the 2014 season, starting all 13 games for the second season in a row.
Bennett Fulper
Fulper became the first true freshman to start a game on the offensive line for Maryland since Bruce Campbell, making starts at left and right guard in 2009. Fulper started seven games in 2010, playing both right guard and center, before fully moving to center in 2011, Randy Edsall's first season. He started 10 games in center that season, and moved to left guard before his senior year thanks to the quick rise of Conaboy.
