Maryland looks to spoil Senior Night for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and close out the regular season on a seven-game winning streak. The Terps have sent shockwaves through the Big Ten this year as analysts projected them to finish eighth in the conference, but Maryland has already locked up the second seed and a two-round bye in the conference tournament in Chicago. Dez Wells continued to prove his worth to the team last game as he scored 20 points en route to a 60-50 win over last-place Rutgers.
Nebraska has had a polarizing season to Maryland, as the Cornhuskers are looking to avoid dropping an eighth straight game. Nebraska, projected to finish fifth in the conference by beat writers, is 12th in the conference and is only ahead of Penn State and Rutgers. The only single-digit loss during the seven-game slide came against Maryland, when the Cornhuskers fell short 69-65 at the Xfinity Center. Terran Petteway is the most destructive player for Nebraska, as he leads the team with 17.8 points per game, but is struggling mightily this season from beyond the arc.

The numbers
Rankings and records: Maryland is 25-5 and ranked No. 10 in the AP Poll and No. 9 in the Coaches Poll. Nebraska is 13-16 and 5-12 in the B1G.
KenPom's prediction: Maryland, 61-58. 66 percent chance Maryland wins.
Two things at stake
If Maryland can stay hot and continue to Chicago with a full head of steam, nothing is stopping the Terps from rolling to a great seed in the NCAA tournament.
No team in the Big Ten is a guaranteed win, especially on the road. Nebraska, despite its losing streak, has nothing to lose and could knock Maryland out of the top 10 with a win.
One big matchup
Des Wells vs. Terran Petteway. Dez Wells has put up 20 or more points in three of the last five games and is looking more and more like his old self every time he takes the court. Re-emerging from his wrist injury that sidelined him for a few games in non-conference play, Wells is back and shooting the ball at an incredible rate. Petteway is Nebraska's go-to guy but he has struggled shooting the ball during the losing streak. He can score in bulk but he also shoots in bulk too.
