Amidst all of the craziness that is March Madness, the Maryland football program looks to establish momentum heading into April, which is noted as the month when prized 2016 QB Dwayne Haskins plans on committing. The Terps are very much in the mix, and are labeled by some as the favorite to land the signal-caller who holds more than 40 scholarship offers. Haskins recently announced (on Twitter, so grain of salt) that he and fellow Maryland target Trevon Diggs will be a package deal in college. While many envision the duo racking up touchdowns together, Maryland likes Diggs more as a CB in college which could be intriguing to the Avalon prospect as he can step out of his brother’s shadow and create his own legacy in College Park.
The Terrapins lost out on Lake Lehman (PA) center Connor McGovern to Penn State. The 6’4 295-pound lineman committed to the Nittany Lions on March 20th after being considered a heavy Penn State lean for quite some time.
