Maryland vs. West Virginia Gamethread - Sweet 16 calling

Let's do this thing!

Joe Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports

Maryland tips off against West Virginia in the Round of 32 in just a few short hours. On the line is a berth in the Sweet 16, and the privilege of playing Kentucky. But one problem at a time. The Terps amazingly have not made the Sweet 16 since 2003.

West Virginia plays an interesting style of basketball. The Mountaineers do not shoot the ball well at all, but collect an offensive rebound about 40 percent of the time. It's almost like the basketball equivalent of lacrosse when the offense retains possession on a missed shot. Against Valparaiso, Maryland surrendered 11 offensive rebounds leading to 16 more field goal attempts for the Crusaders. The Terps MUST find a way to grab defensive rebounds.
