The Maryland Terrapins take on the Penn State Nittany Lions Wednesday evening in College Park as the Terps hope to rebound from an embarrassing loss to Ohio State in Columbus last week. The game on Wednesday will be the 18th meeting between the two teams, but their first as conference foes. Maryland holds a 9-8 edge in the all-time series between the two schools. In their last meeting, on December 1, 2010, the Terps beat Penn State 62-30 in Happy Valley as part of the B1G-ACC Challenge.
For Maryland, this will be their first game since last Thursday's 80-56 loss to the Buckeyes, their third loss in conference play this season. Fortunately, they have played especially well both after losses and at home in the XFINITY Center. Following a loss, the Terps are 3-0 this season and they are 13-1 at home, with their sole loss coming against No. 3 ranked Virginia earlier in the season.
