A day after announcing his commitment to Maryland on television, four-star offensive lineman Quarvez Boulware has made his pledge official. The Friendship Academy (D.C.) prospect signed with the Terrapins Wednesday over Florida and Wake Forest.
Boulware is considered the 18th-best offensive guard in the country and the third-best prospect in D.C. by the 247Sports Composite. He was recruited to College Park by Mike Locksley, and visited the campus on at least seven occasions.
The prospect also received offers from Auburn, Clemson and Florida State, among others, eventually settling on the Terrapins, Gators and Demon Deacons as his final three. Boulware reportedly first committed to Maryland on an early January visit, but refuted claims of his pledge and later took visits to Gainesville and Winston-Salem.

Boulware is perhaps the signee with the best opportunity to see playing time for Maryland early. The senior has advanced technique for a high school prospect, and the Terrapins graduate starters at center and left guard.
