Big Ten basketball schedule 2016: Maryland gets home-and-homes with Wisconsin, Ohio State

The important part of next season's schedule has been announced by the conference.

The Big Ten released the men's basketball matchups for the 2016 conference season Thursday, with dates, times and television information still to be announced. We do know where Maryland will be playing conference opponents next year and how many times.

The Terps will play home-and-homes with Michigan, Northwestern, Ohio State, Purdue and Wisconsin. That's a reverse from the 2015 season -- the Terps have each of those schools scheduled just once this year.

For single-game home matchups, Maryland will face Illinois, Iowa, Penn State and Rutgers. Illinois and Iowa were single-game road matchups this season, while Maryland played home-and-homes with Penn State and Rutgers.

Maryland will travel to play Indiana, Michigan State, Minnesota and Nebraska for single-game matchups. Minnesota was a single-game home game on the 2015 schedule, while the other three were home-and-homes.
