Minnesota cornerback commit set to visit the Terps in January

Maryland coach DJ Durkin is developing a habit for wanting who's already seemingly been taken.

Conflicting reports on nation's No. 1 basketball recruit Josh Jackson.

Though the Detroit Free Press reported Jackson cut his list to Arizona and Michigan State on Wednesday, the Twitter account for his AAU team, 1Nation Elite, claims the reported finalized list is untrue. The Spartans and Wildcats still remain as two of the favorites to land the projected top-5 2017 NBA draft pick's talents, but the Terps aren't officially out of the running just yet.

Melo Trimble was near the bottom of's list of top 10 DMV athletes of 2015, coming at number eight. Rob Carlin and Brian Mitchell of Sports Talk Live believe he should have the number two spot.

Daniels is currently a Minnesota commit but the fact that he's planning an official visit to Maryland in January probably means he won't be pledged to the Gophers for long. DJ Durkin has done a great job recruiting Florida, so it wouldn't at all be surprising if he ends up as a Terp.

A Third Decommitment for the Terps
While it appears Maryland might add one secondary player, two-star safety Silas Kelly from South Carroll High Senior High School decommitted from Maryland. He became the third decommitment for the Terps since D.J. Durkin took over.

Ngakoue is poised to be Maryland's first 2016 NFL Draft pick - Testudo Times
Yannick Ngakoue is the 14th best outside linebacker according to CBS Sports and they have him going in the fourth or fifth round.  He ended his Maryland career with 83 tackles (53 solo), 32 tackles for loss, 21 sacks, an interception, three pass break ups and two forced fumbles.
