Maryland takes a trip up 95 to Royal Farms arena in downtown Baltimore on Saturday to take on the Princeton Tigers. Saturday's game will be the first time the Terrapins have played a game in Charm City since they took on Iowa in the ACC-B1G Challenge in 1999.
Getting Maryland to play a game in Baltimore again has been a priority for Mark Turgeon since he became Maryland's head coach. Once the Terps decided to not continue participating in the BB&T Classic in D.C., it helped create an opportunity to schedule a game in Baltimore. But apparently it has been a complicated process to schedule a game in Maryland's largest city.
The Terps last played a week ago, when they defeated Maryland Eastern Shore 77-56 at Xfinity Center. This past week was finals week for the Fall semester, which is why there was a week between games.
Princeton enters Saturday's game with a 6-2 mark, having lost to Stony Brook and Saint Joseph's. For more on Princeton, check out our preview of the Tigers.
