Three weeks ago, new Maryland offensive guard commit Richard Merritt tweeted he would be a "package deal" with Archbishop Carroll teammate and fellow four-star offensive lineman Jauan Williams. The 247Sports Crystal Ball pegs Williams as a toss-up between Alabama and Maryland, although Merritt just picked the Terps over the Tide. Williams is rated as the No. 2 player in D.C. (Merritt is third) and the No. 16 offensive tackle in the 2016 class. Here's tape on Williams. These things don't always hold true; just a few months ago, Maryland quarterback commit Dwayne Haskins said the same thing about Trevon Diggs, who went off to Alabama. But for Maryland, this is quite a thought.
