Maryland takes on the Eagles of UMES Saturday afternoon at Xfinity Center in College Park. The Terps had a ten-point victory over Connecticut on Tuesday, part of the Jimmy V Classic event at Madison Square Garden in New York. Six different players scored at least six points in that game, led by sophomore guard Melo Trimble, who scored a season-high 25 points, a freshman center Diamond Stone, who narrowly missed a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. The win improved the Terps' record to 8-1 on the season, with their only loss coming against North Carolina in the B1G-ACC Classic.
The Terps have five players averaging at least 10.6 points per game so far this season, led by Trimble's 15.6. Robert Carter (13), Rasheed Sulaimon (11.2), Jake Layman (10.9) and Diamond Stone (10.6) are the other four.
