Maryland-Iowa GameThread

The Terps have a significant challenge on their hands in seeking to avoid a 2-6 record.

The Maryland football team, a loser of four games in a row, tries to avoid making it five against Iowa at 3:30 p.m. EST on Saturday. You can watch the game on ESPN2 or ABC (depending on your locality) and stream it at WatchESPN. Adam Amin, Kelly Stouffer and Olivia Harlan have the call.

The Terrapins are 0-3 in Big Ten play and just 2-5 overall. Iowa is (ridiculously) 7-0 and the obvious best team in the Big Ten West at this point. As such, the Terps are more than a two-touchdown underdog for the teams' bout at Kinnick Stadium. Given present circumstances, a Maryland win would be a monumental upset, maybe the biggest one of this college football season. It probably won't happen, but the notion that it could leaves the Terps with at least something interesting for which to play.

Maryland's two-deep depth chart looks like this:

We don't have a reporter covering the game in Iowa City (distance and all), but we'll be couch-covering it nonetheless. I'll have stuff @testudotimes and @alex_kirshner, plus updates here throughout the day. Those will be added to our stream.

Thanks for reading, and have a very Maryland Halloween.
