#20 Men's Soccer

Another inconsistent week for the men's soccer team. They attack a lot but can't seem to find the back of the net when they need to the most. That loss to Delaware does not look good on the postseason resume. The Terps got a little bit lucky against Washington as the Huskies scored an own goal that held up as the only score in Maryland's 1-0 win. Maryland HAS to beat Ohio State on the road next week to have a chance to win the Big Ten.

Record this week: 1-1 (2-1 loss to Delaware and a 1-0 win against Washington)

Record this season: (7-4-4, 2-1-3)

Grade for the week: C. Maryland had a bad loss to Delaware but a good win (even though they didn't score) against ranked Washington.

Title chances: 5. Maryland has two Big Ten games left. They control their own destiny. Win and the Big Ten title is theirs.

#6 Field Hockey

The defending Big Ten champs captured at least a share of this year's Big Ten title with their overtime win against Indiana. They have the chance to win the title outright against Iowa in Iowa City next week. Ironically, Iowa was the team that Maryland beat to win the title outright last season in College Park.

Record this week: 2-0 (1-0 win in overtime against Indiana and a 6-0 win against Towson)

Record this season: (15-3, 7-0)

Grade for the week: A+. Two more wins for the Terps but the most important thing is that they clinched a share of the Big Ten title.

Title chances: 5. The Terps won the Big Ten title last year and now have at least a share of it this year. They can win the title outright on the road next week against Iowa.

Volleyball

Volleyball got their first win of the season and surpassed last year's win total in the process. They split their home and home with Rutgers.

Record this week: 1-1 (3-2 loss to Rutgers and a 3-1 win against Rutgers)

Record this season: (11-13, 1-9)

Grade for the week: C. The Terps split their home and home with Rutgers, earning their first Big Ten win of the season and surpassing their win total from last season.

Title chances: 0. The Terps have no shot at winning the Big Ten title.

Women's Soccer

Maryland finally got that elusive first Big Ten win but unfortunately it came at the tail end of their season after they had already been eliminated from postseason play. The win was their sixth of the year, giving them one more than they had last year. The Terps got shut down by Wisconsin on senior night but still have one game left to play. They will take on Nebraska on the road next week.

Record this week: 1-1 (1-0 win against Michigan State and a 1-0 loss against Wisconsin)

Record this season: (6-11-1, 1-8-1)

Grade for the week: The Terps got their first Big Ten win of the season against the Spartans and surpassed their win total from last season in the process, but they got shutout on senior night by Big Ten champion Wisconsin.

Title chances: 0. Maryland's shot at qualifying for the Big Ten tournament ended last week and their shot at winning the Big Ten title ended a couple of weeks before that.
