Terrapin Title Tracker

This is your weekly roundup of Maryland non-revenue action. Let's take a look at their chances to win some hardware.

Joe Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports

#18 Men's Soccer

Men's soccer got a draw against a very good Indiana team and they continue to keep themselves in good position to repeat as Big Ten champs. The lack of offensive production is somewhat troubling considering that Maryland took 15 corners and couldn't come up with anything. The execution will have to improve if the Terps want to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.

Record this week: 0-0-1 (0-0 tie against Indiana)

Record this season: (6-3-4, 2-1-3)

Grade for the week: B. A good result and the Terps continue to take points where and when they can.

Title chances: 5. The Terps are still in good position to repeat as Big Ten champs.

#7 Field Hockey

Another week and another two wins for Maryland. The Terps are firing on all cylinders and will have a chance to claim at least a share of the Big Ten title if they beat Indiana at home next week.

Record this week: 2-0 (1-0 win against Old Dominion and 4-0 win against Rutgers)

Record this season: (13-3, 6-0)

Grade for the week: A. The Terps found a way to shutout the Monarchs in Norfolk and then got a good Big Ten win against Rutgers.

Title chances: 5. Maryland is the favorite to repeat as Big Ten champions.

Volleyball

The losing continues for Maryland as they faced another two very good teams on the road. The team was competitive but the Terps failed to push the matches to five sets.

Record this week: 0-2 (3-1 loss to Michigan State and 3-0 loss to Michigan)

Record this season: 10-12 (0-8)

Grade for the week: D-. The Terps had leads in some of their sets but didn't close it out. When they are ahead in sets, they need to give themselves a better chance to stay in the match.

Title chances: 0. The Terps have no shot at winning the Big Ten title.

Women's Soccer

Women's soccer had their backs against the wall going into their game against Purdue. They had no margin for error. A loss would end their chances of making the Big Ten tournament. Despite multiple chances to win, Maryland fell short yet again and their season is effectively over.

Record this week: 0-1-1 (1-1 tie against Indiana and 2-1 (2 OT)  loss against Purdue)

Record this season: (5-10-1, 0-7-1)

Grade for the week: F. Maryland's hopes of playing in the postseason ended on Sunday with their double overtime loss to the Boilermakers.

Title chances: 0. Maryland's shot at winning the Big Ten title ended weeks ago. Their loss to Purdue ended their chances of making the Big Ten tournament.
