Maryland football could make run at Eagles coach Chip Kelly, per report

88

The Baltimore Sun's Don Markus (as well-informed a reporter on Maryland as there is anywhere) cites sources who say there's a "possibility" Maryland will make a run at Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly to replace Randy Edsall. Kelly fits with athletic director Kevin Anderson's stated desire for a "wide-open" offense, but Markus's report is the first concrete indication that Maryland is actually considering Kelly. For what it's worth, Kelly's Eagles won on Sunday and are a not-the-worst 2-3 overall, so it's not clear he's going to lose his job (or that he'd want to leave it.)
