Gamethread: Maryland vs. Indiana

Maryland faces their toughest road challenge yet in the Big Ten.

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Maryland travels to Assembly Hall tonight to take on the Hoosiers of Indiana. After a lackluster non-conference, Indiana has stepped up their game in conference play, and they are currently tied for first place in the loss column. The Hoosiers have a rotation that is short in stature, but their athleticism gives them an edge on offense. Indiana is averaging 81.6 points per game, ranking 12th nationally. Freshman sensation James Blackmon leads the team with 16.6 ppg, and is a solid rebounder notching 5.7 per game. For as good as their offense is, their defense is equally bad. This should be a run-and-gun affair, and a fun one to watch.

The Terps are starting to get more attention nationally thanks to the consistent excellence of Jake Layman and Melo Trimble. One player who has sort of drifted to the background has been Dez Wells, who has not looked 100% after returning from a fractured wrist. Given the hostile road environment, I think Wells will try to assert himself more in this game and lead the Terps to an important win.

The full preview of the game can be found here, and our viewing guide is available here.

To warm up for the action, let's start with your predictions for the Terp's starting lineup (remember Indiana's tallest rotation player is only 6' 8").
