Maryland takes on Indiana in the first of a two game series with the Hoosiers this season. The ranked Hoosiers joined the top 25 for the first time this season after winning three straight games and winning four of five conference games. Indiana has done a great job retaining leads and securing narrow victories, winning the last three games by less than six points. Indiana is led by a duo of guards in Yogi Ferrell and freshman sensation James Blackmon. Ferrell and Blackmon complement each other quite well and each player is averaging over 14 points per contest.
The Terps destroyed Michigan State in the latter of a two-game series against the Spartans in College Park. Freshman Melo Trimble delivered an unforgettable game, leading the way with 24 points while breaking ankles in the process. Yet it was Jake Layman who took home the Big Ten Player of the Week Award for the second time this season, posting a double-double in consecutive games last week. Maryland continues to climb the polls behind the depth and versatility of the young squad.

Two things at stake
This is currently one of just two teams that are ranked remaining on Maryland's schedule, so another statement road win wouldn't hurt their standing, right?
Indiana can earn a big home win in this contest and request to take the slow clap off of Maryland's hype video.
One big matchup
Melo Trimble vs. Yogi Ferrell. This is a matchup the entire country should keep their eye on. Trimble has been the steady hand for Maryland and posted a monster line of 24 points on 6-11 from three but Yogi Ferrell poses a big competition for the freshman from Upper Marlboro. Ferrell, a 6'0'' junior, averages 5 assists per game and constantly finds himself at the line. Whoever wins this matchup should have the upper hand in the game.
