Maryland has a 200/1 chance to win the College Football Playoff and the national championship this year, according to odds released by Bovada. The Terrapins are one of 31 teams to still have listed odds.
Alabama is the prohibitive favorite at 6/1. Behind the Crimson Tide and rounding out the top five on Bovada's odds list: Florida State and Oklahoma (15/2 each) and Auburn and Oregon (8/1 each).
South Carolina, Penn State, Washington, Texas, Pitt and others were among the schools to fall off the listing this week.
In related news, Bovada favors Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota in the Heisman Trophy race. Mariota has 7/4 odds, ahead of Georgia running back Todd Gurley (7/2), Nebraska running back Ameer Abdullah and Texas A&M quarterback Kenny Hill (9/1 each) and Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson (12/1).
