Maryland trails, 14-0, after first quarter

What a disastrous first quarter for the Terrapins, who trail West Virginia, 14-0 at Byrd Stadium.

West Virginia's Clint Trickett was 12-13 for 175 yards, including a 43-yard strike to Mario Alford at the end of the quarter. Rushel Shell also has a rushing touchdown for the Mountaineers.

C.J. Brown's throwing problems continued. His first pass of the game was deflected at the line and intercepted, and he missed an open Malcolm Culmer for what would have been an easy touchdown pass.

Albert Reid has gotten all of the work for Maryland's running backs.
