Maryland will travel to Stillwater, OK to play Oklahoma State this season on December 21, at 1 p.m., according to reports from NewsOK. The game will be part of a two game series that will see the Cowboys travel to College Park in the 2016-17 campaign.
Last season, Oklahoma State was eliminated in the tournament by nine seed Gonzaga after a 21-13 regular season record. Turgeon is entering familiar territory by facing Oklahoma State, as he coached in the Big 12 for four seasons at Texas A&M before making the switch to Maryland. Turgeon was 5-3 against the Cowboys during his tenure at A&M, while Maryland defeated Oklahoma State in the two teams' only meeting.
Maryland's non-conference schedule still has some vacancies, but so far the Terps will be hosting Virginia as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, Fordham and Winthrop. The Terps will also participate in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic in November, where they will face Arizona State and the winner or loser of Iowa State or Alabama. Due to scheduling conflicts, Maryland is unable to participate in the Jimmy V Classic in New York where they were expected to face 13th ranked Villanova.
Stay tuned for more scheduling updates, including exact dates of Big Ten games.
