High School Highlights:

How'd he get to College Park?

Marcus Leak was highly-touted wide receiver out of Parkwood high school with the likes of Clemson and NC State vying for his services. Even though Leak missed four games his senior year due to injury, the coaches didn't stop calling. Leak only notched 505 yards all-purpose with three touchdowns, but the talent level was undeniable. Maryland was able to win their way through the crowded field of North Carolina schools recruiting Leak, and the talent has shown on the field. Leak ultimately chose to pledge to the Terps over Clemson and Colorado, and the rest is history.

Nickname:

Marcus "Take A" Leak

Career Highlight:

I'm not sure it is much of a highlight, but Leak was the one who redirected the pass to Stefon Diggs in 2012 against Connecticut for what made to be an interesting touchdown for the freshman phenom. On a note for Leak himself, his performance in 2012 against NC State where he notched four receptions for 94 yards was one of his best performances of his career.

Dream Season:

Even with stars Stefon Diggs and Deon Long leading the way, Leak manages to match their production to make the Terps passing game that much more lethal.

2014 Prospectus:

Leak is safely entrenched as the number three receiver for the Terps next season, and that is up for very little debate. That is what may have led to Nigel King departing the team. Leak will see his opportunities to catch the ball and increase his career output, lining up in base sets on the outside to give Diggs the slot receiver position. Leak will be productive and could see some big games when teams are more focused on shutting down Long or Diggs.

Up next:

Our next player is very familiar with a team on Maryland's schedule.
