Maryland recruiting roundup: Tremaine Edmunds to announce college decision Thursday

New basketball offers, Terps make the cut for George Campbell and Quarvez Boulware

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Basketball:

A bunch of new offers are out in 2015 and 2016. Andrew will break them down more thoroughly later on in the week, but that does't mean we can't list them here.

Four-star Cape Henry (Va.) shooting guard Chris Clarke picked up an offer from Florida.

Noah Blackwell released his list of interested schools...of sorts. He tried to list every team that has reached out to him, it appears, and the only reason we're including it is because Maryland was listed first.

Football:

Five-star East Lake (Fla.) wide receiver George Campbell cut his list to 10 schools, including the Terps. He was one of the group of elite Florida players who visited campus for the Big Show.

One of the other players who visited College Park for the event has made his college decision. Four-star running back Ray-Ray McCloud III, who listed Maryland as a finalist, committed to Clemson.

Three-star Trinity-Pawling (N.Y.) defensive end Austrian Robinson named Maryland as his top school.

Four-star Friendship Collegiate (D.C.) guard Quarvez Boulware tweeted out his top five:

Four-star 2016 Gilman (Md.) defensive tackle Ellison Jordan visited College Park.

Three-star Imhotep (Penn.) wide receiver commit D.J. Moore will be visiting campus, along with a few high school teammates. Four-star 2016 TE Naseir Upshur, 2015 outside linebacker Shaquille Jones and 2016 athlete Terrill Gillette will all be visiting as well, along with three-star 2015 Frankford (Penn.) defensive end Shareef Miller.

After the disappointment of top 2016 target Shane Simmons' commitment to Penn State, another top 2016 prospect announced he would be making his decision. Four-star Timber Creek (Penn.) wide receiver Cameron Chambers will announce Friday between Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Wisconsin, cutting Maryland from his list. Chambers is part of the group that local prospects Dwayne Haskins and Trevon Diggs have been touting as a potential large package deal.

Three-star Dan River (Va.) outside linebacker Tremaine Edmunds will make his college decision Thursday night. He is expected to pick Virginia Tech, but Maryland is a finalist.

Three-star Dorman (S.C.) wide receiver JJ Arcega-Whiteside committed to Stanford.
