Maryland fans vow to continue calling the Xfinity Center the Comcast Center - The Washington Post
I personally don't care that much. It's not like the arena is going from Cole to XFINITY. I think it was different with Byrd Stadium for that very reason. But this brings up an interesting question - is there a new nickname you'd want to start calling Comcast/XFINITY? I've heard "The X", "The X Factor" - what else you got?

Lots of other stuff going on yesterday, so we're going to group it into categories:

Big Ten Media Day

Penn State’s Franklin on Maryland: ‘I’m looking forward to competing with them on the field’ - The Washington Post
"I probably said a few things that I shouldn’t have said because I’m trying to get our fans excited," Franklin said. "I do think there is a regional aspect to it, there’s no doubt about it … I think they’re a great addition for the conference as a whole, on a lot of different reasons. I’m looking forward to competing with them in recruiting, I’m looking forward to competing with them on the field. Randy has done a great job. I’ve followed his career for a long time."

Franklin admitted he probably made a mistake in what he said and that essentially he was trying to keep things excited on a 14 stop tour to drum up support for PSU.

Big Ten won't halt national-title drought by adding Rutgers, Maryland - CBSSports.com
This is what Dennis Dodd, who wrote this piece, said about Maryland: "Maryland's athletic department is awash in so much red ink that the balance sheet looks like tomato soup was spilled on it."

Uh, have you seen Rutgers? When you look at Dodd's piece, it reads like it was written by someone who hasn't been following this move and who clearly knows nothing about Maryland Athletics. Maybe I should send him this article to read.

Maryland, Rutgers say they're ready for Big Ten
Both the Scarlet Knights and Terrapins enter the Big Ten in the tougher of the league's two divisions.

Recruiting

Top 10 for 4-star WR Campbell
Maryland makes the cut for Florida star George Campbell, along with Georgia, Ole Miss, UCLA, Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Auburn, LSU and Florida State. He didn't even make our list of offensive targets due to his offer list and previous lack of really talking up the Terps, so it's a bit of a surprise, but we'll see if Maryland gets another visit.

Four-star tight end Naseir Upshur tweets plan to visit Maryland | Comcast SportsNet Baltimore
Upshur is a top 2016 target who is teammates and good friends with Terrapin commit D.J. Moore.

Also, 4* corner Marcus Lewis decommitted from Florida yesterday. He's visited College Park but it appears Michigan might be the team to beat for his services.
