Maryland's Stefon Diggs could break 20 records this year

Returning from injury, Diggs has the opportunity to write his name in the record books.

Standout wide receiver Stefon Diggs had his sophomore campaign cut short after suffering a broken leg in the seventh game of the season, but that doesn't mean the expectations change for the rising junior. Already named to the Biletnikoff Award (best wide receiver), Maxwell Award (best college player) and Hornung Award (most versatile player) watch lists, Diggs also has his eye on Maryland's record books. Diggs eyes plenty of records, many of them currently owned by beloved Torrey Smith, but we view 20 of them as viable and attainable for this upcoming, and potentially his last, season.

Diggs is already a record-holder at Maryland. He shares the record for most kick return touchdowns in a season with three other former Terps and also tops the list of yards per return for his kickoff career (that could drop with a poor return season). Now the prospects that he breaks all of those records is unbelievably doubtful but some may queue their inner Kevin Garnett voice and shout "anything is possible." Diggs, if healthy, can have yet another noteworthy and potentially record-breaking season for the Terps.
