Maryland and UNC hit the diamond in the third and final game of pool play in the ACC Tournament. The Terps extended their winning streak to 11 yesterday, defeating fifth-ranked Florida State 5-3. With UNC losing to Virginia 3-2, Maryland secured a bid to the ACC Championship Game on Sunday, where the Terps look to earn their first ever conference title in their last ever year in the conference. Although many are pinning this a meaningless game, the Terps will want to continue their momentum and carry their hot streak into Sunday.

Rankings and records: Maryland enters the game with a program best 36-19 (17-14) record, earning a sixth seed in the conference and guaranteeing a bid to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1971. The Tar Heels come in with a 33-24 (15-15) mark, leaving them with the seventh seed. North Carolina owns the series matchup 121-49.
