This afternoon the No. 7 seed Maryland Men's Lacrosse team will host the Cornell Big Red in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Byrd Stadium, looking to make it to at least the NCAA Quarterfinals for the 31st time in school history. This is a rematch of a first round game from last year, where Cornell drubbed the Terps 16-8. Revenge will be on the minds, and I'd expect a different game to the one that occurred last year. This one of the biggest games of the opening weekend, and for programs with as much history as these two, it can make or break a season. Both teams came into this season with expectations lower than years past, even last year. But they're both big time programs and looking at a National Championship.
