Mediator assigned in Maryland vs. ACC lawsuit
It was court ordered and is apparently something that happens in cases like this, where the court basically asks both parties to sit down and see if they can work something out and settle before continuing with the trial. Apparently Maryland's counterclaim filed in January put "serious settlement pressure" on the ACC. So, we'll see where this goes. Maybe they settle on the previous exit fee, which is about how much money the ACC has already withheld from Marland? If something happens, it has to happen before July 10th and would likely happen before July 1, when Maryland is set to officially join the B1G.
