Maryland recruiting roundup: Spring game visitors for the Terps

Randy Edsall and co. will welcome an impressive list of visitors Friday in College Park.

Michal Cekovsky committed! Other things happened, too, but let's not talk about that.

Friday is the Spring Game, which is a fun event in general but also a big-time recruiting event. Multiple commits could take place this weekend, and we'll have coverage through it all.

Here's a list of players whom we are fairly certain are attending Friday's Spring Game, with sources linked.

There are rumors of other big-time visitors, including Jalen Christian and Quarvez Boulware, and we'll continue to work to confirm any and all of them.

Two targets committed elsewhere: Richie Petitbon to Alabama and David Robbins to Florida State.

Remember David Sills, the 13-year-old who committed to USC way back when? Well, he's a rising senior at Eastern Christian now, and visited Maryland this past week (as well as Penn State and USC). He appears to be an actual Terps target now, and we've put him on our Big Board.

Other visitors this past weekend:

  • Massive offensive guard Shamar Hardin, Sills's teammate at Eastern Christian
  • Another Eastern Christian target -- wide receiver Elisha Sewell
  • Class of 2016 New Jersey quarterback Eddie Hahn

Texas linebacker D'Vonta Hinton picked up an offer from Utah.

Four-star offensive tackle Grant Newsome picked up an offer from Arkansas.

Three-star Florida running back Deltron Sands, who does not appear to be coming to the Spring Game (he told us he would commit then), received offers from Wake Forest and Cincinnati.

Four-star quarterback Kai Locksley took a visit to Auburn.

Three-star defensive end Jake Pickard was offered by Nebraska.

Canadian defensive tackle Neville Gallimore was offered by Pittsburgh.
