Maryland-Virginia GameThread

Talking Terps one last time in the regular season.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

After a season of farewells, one of the biggest ones comes today as the Terps play their final ACC game at Comcast Center. It comes, fittingly enough, against nearby rival Virginia, with both teams doing differently than expected at the beginning of the season.

For Maryland, the end of the regular season ACC schedule marks the end of a long year, one that has been plagued with disappointment and near-misses. Virginia, meanwhile, went from being picked to finish fourth to winning the ACC regular season title outright and climbing to as high as their current No. 5 national ranking.

The Hoos haven't lost since a Jan. 13 game at Duke, which means the Terps have their work cut out for them. But Maryland has a few things on its side: it's Senior Day -- even if only for John Auslander, there's set to be a sell out crowdat Comcast Center, and, you know, it's UVA.
