Maryland opens up ACC Tournament play tonight against North Carolina. The Terps defeated UNC earlier this season, 79-70, in their only meeting, which, like the men's team, only occurred in Chapel Hill.
The Terps enter their final ACC Tournament leading all other schools in tournament titles with ten. They're hoping to add one more before departing the ACC for the B1G next season, capping off an incredible career by senior Alyssa Thomas, who was just named the conference's player of the year for the third straight season. Thomas joins Duke's Alana Beard as the only other player in conference history to win the player of the year award three times.
Maryland received the double-bye, avoiding the first two rounds of the tournament and should they win today, will advance to Saturday's semifinals. But all of that could be on hold due to an extremely severe ice storm occurring in Greensboro and across North Carolina, which has caused numerous power outages and delays in play both yesterday and today, including at the Terps' team hotel:

How do you think the Terps will do tonight? If they win, can they hand Notre Dame their first loss of the season?
