The Lady Terrapins are coming off a disappointing 73-70 loss to North Carolina in their first ACC tournament game, but have a lot to be excited about heading deeper into March.
Maryland (24-6, 12-4 ACC) will find out their seeding in the NCAA tournament Monday night and can lay out a plan for redemption. Senior Alyssa Thomas, who was named ACC Player of the Year for the third consecutive season, will have one last chance to fight for a national championship.
As a No. 4 seed in last year's madness, the Terps advanced to the Sweet Sixteen with wins over Quinnipiac and Michigan State before Connecticut crushed their hopes. We shall see if Thomas' will to win in her final season will be enough to push Maryland over the edge.
